The folks at Japan's Information Architects have released an updated version of their very cool Web Trend Map, showing how hundreds of key online properties fit together. Modelled after the Tokyo subway system, the map organizes sites by category (tech sites, music sites, social sites, etc.) and which web generation they belong to (from 1.0 through 2.5, whatever that is.)
This time around they've even made an "interactive" version available. Check it out and click around.
You can also grab the map in various sizes at the Information Architects site. How useful is it to map websites along transit lines? Who knows - but it's fun.
