Bright and shiny (ultra-mobile) future

With Intel expected to announce a new souped-up Ultra-Mobile PC platform at their technology conference this week, a couple of company-produced videos are making the rounds.  They portray a near future in which powerful handheld, wearable and super-portable devices not only provide people with new ways to stay connected but also deliver on the promise of seamless portability of content and functionality across mobile and fixed-location computers.  I like the cool wearables and the slick user interfaces -- and think Second Lifers will get a kick out of the 3D take on GPS navigation.  Watch this:
