I'm not going political on you, but if you're looking for a follow up to my Friday post (Authenticity in Advertising), I highly recommend CK's post today at MarketingProfs: Daily Fix which tackles similar themes and centers around an important question: Why are marketers so worried that average won't sell?
So, what does that have to do with Bulgaria? It seems that Friday's post is a big hit in Bulgaria! During the overnight, a blog called Capital, publishing in Cyrillic from a .bg domain included my post in a list of links. Judging from the sites that are linked off the post, Capital.bg appears to cover the global advertising beat and seems to be fairly influential -- it ranks around 16,500 (out of more than 55 million total blogs) in Technorati. From there, a handful of other Bulgarian blogs -- the personal blogs of young women from the looks of them -- seem to have grabbed the permalink as well.
It would be difficult to argue against advertising's influence. Our industry really needs to get it right... OK then - moving along. :-)
