Time magazine has unveiled its 2006 Person of the Year - and the title goes to YOU.
It is a sure sign that the culture of consumer control has truly taken hold when even an old media stalwart like Time magazine sees fit to celebrate the trend, let alone declare the humble citizen (more specifically, the citizen who toils away to create and distribute her own original content) the most notable person of the year.
Of course, there's a bit of irony here -- it's almost as if Time is heralding it's own demise at the hands of the community of bloggers, podcasters, video and photo sharers, and other mini media moguls. But it's all good. ;-)
